Alejandro J. Miranda-Sousa, M.D. completed his urology training with a fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa after graduating from the prestigious Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia School of Medicine in Lima, Peru. Dr. Miranda-Sousa then moved up North to snowy Massachusetts, working for Baystate Medical Practices as a Urologic Surgeon. There, he created a very successful and renowned practice over the course of five years. He takes pride in maintaining his strong relationships with the Massachusetts General Hospital, Lahey Clinic, Mayo Clinic and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Miranda-Sousa is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and Board-Certified in Urology. He has published many research and clinical studies in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented his work at numerous medical conferences. His experience and expertise has garnered him invitations to speak at multiple national and international Urologic conferences. In 2007, he gained notoriety for having the best abstract at the American Urological Association’s annual meeting.
